Homemade Tiramisu Latte
A creamy tiramisu latte made in just 5 minutes (no, you are not dreaming)! This is the ultimate fusion of flavours, and it’s a drink I guarantee you’ll be making over and over again. Let’s go…
If you’re a tiramisu lover, then I think you’re really going to enjoy this latte! It’s fluffy, rich, absolutely delicious, and to put it simply, it’s way more than just a latte – It’s indulgence in a cup!
I’ve been seeing tiramisu lattes pop up everywhere, not just online but in shops too, so I just had to make my own. The taste of this drink is so delicious, it turns ordinary coffee into a moment of bliss.
I make this beauty by starting off with a homemade latte, then I top it with a mascarpone cream mixture. And of course, a dusting of cocoa powder, this is a must (if I do say so myself).
Why You’ll Like This Recipe
Just like my tiramisu brownies and these brownie blondies, it’s a combination of two popular flavours in one. Everyone loves a latte, and now it’s got so much better, and here’s why:
- It takes only 5 minutes to make, and if you’re using an espresso machine, the time is even less than that.
- You’re able to adjust the sweetness or coffee intensity to your taste.
- You can make this drink both classic hot and iced!!
Recipe Ingredients
Here are the few ingredients I used to make this latte:
- Homemade Latte: I used milk, one espresso shot and vanilla syrup to make the latte base. (Adding vanilla syrup is optional, you can add vanilla extract or regular sugar instead).
- Mascarpone Cream: I whisk together, mascarpone, double cream, icing sugar and vanilla extract.
- Cocoa Powder: I like to finish the latte with a dusting of cocoa powder, for that bitter and slightly chocolatey flavour. Also, because it’s iconic for tiramisu desserts.
I added one espresso shot (roughly 30ml) but feel free to add a double espresso shot if you want. If you don’t have an espresso machine, you can mix two teaspoons of instant coffee with two tablespoons of water to create one espresso shot.
How To Make A Tiramisu Latte
Here’s a summary of how I make a tiramisu latte. You can get the full recipe instructions on the recipe card below:
I like to start by making the mascarpone cream; to do this, I add icing sugar, mascarpone, double cream and vanilla extract to a bowl. Then I whisk it together until it’s combined.
Then I make an espresso shot (with my coffee machine) and mix it with vanilla syrup. If I’m making an espresso shot with instant coffee, I mix together two teaspoons of instant coffee with two tablespoons of hot water.
Then I froth the milk until it’s hot (an alternative is to heat the milk in the microwave). Once hot, I add it to my espresso shot. Last but not least, I top the latte with my mascarpone cream mixture and a dusting of cocoa powder.
Make An Iced Version!
This is literally a drink you can enjoy all year round, so during the summer, I like to make an iced version. To do this, I simply add ice to my cup, followed by an espresso shot that I mix with vanilla syrup. Then I add cold milk, and then top it with the mascarpone cream and cocoa powder.

Notes
Storing Extra Mascarpone Cream
If you want to make a big batch of this cream, double or triple the recipe ingredients. Once you’ve made it, store the cream in the fridge in an airtight container and keep it for up to 3 days.My Top Tips
When making the mascarpone cream, before adding it to the latte, give the mixture a taste. Here you can customise the recipe to adapt it to your taste, for example, you can add more icing sugar or some espresso for more of an intense flavour. I like to use my milk frother to make the mascarpone cream mixture airy and light, this also prevents it from sinking to the bottom. If you like your coffee strong, then I recommend adding two shots of espresso. If you’re using instant coffee, then mix together 4 teaspoons of instant coffee with 4 tablespoons of water.Nutrition
