Terry’s Chocolate Orange Brownies
A fudgy and indulgent brownie that’s flavoured with Terry’s dark chocolate orange. Here’s how I make it…

You know what they say, “double the flavour means double the fun” (well, at least I do), and these chocolate orange brownies are exactly that!
They’re rich, chocolatey, orange-flavoured, AND, quite frankly, incredibly moreish. I’ve been making this brownie recipe for years, and let me tell you, it’s definitely one you’re going to love!!
As Christmas is around the corner, I had to use Terry’s chocolate orange, though you can get away with using dark chocolate and adding orange extract instead.

Recipe Ingredients
Below are the ingredients I used to make this dessert:
- Brownies: To make the rich and fudgy brownie batter, I used butter, dark chocolate, Terry’s dark chocolate orange, cocoa powder, plain flour, medium eggs, light brown sugar, caster sugar, salt and vanilla extract.
- Chocolate Orange: I used a combo of dark chocolate and Terry’s dark chocolate orange, but any brand is fine to use. Alternatively, you can use dark chocolate only and add 1 to 2 teaspoons of orange extract instead.
I’ve adapted my tiramisu brownies to make this recipe, so you can expect the exact same fudginess.
How To Make Chocolate Orange Brownies
Here’s a summary of how I make these delicious brownies. You can get the full recipe instructions on the recipe card below:

I start by melting butter, dark chocolate and Terry’s chocolate orange together. In a separate bowl, I whisk together eggs, sugars and vanilla extract until it’s pale and has doubled in size.
To the whisked egg mixture, I pour in the melted chocolate mixture and whisk everything together until it’s combined.
Next, I add flour, cocoa powder and salt and gently whisk it into the brownie batter. Then I bake it in the oven for around 25 minutes and leave it to cool down before cutting it into slices.
My Top Tips
I like to let the brownie cool down completely before slicing it, otherwise it will be molten and messy as it hasn’t set yet. If you want to speed up the cooling-down process, you can leave the brownie in the fridge or in a cold room.
To create a rich flavour, I sometimes use a ratio of 100g of dark chocolate to 100g of Terry’s chocolate orange. However, for an increased chocolate-orange flavour, use 200g of Terry’s chocolate orange only.
How To Store
Keep leftovers in an airtight container and keep at room temperature for up to 3 to 5 days.
