Cinnamon Puff Pastry Twists

Here's how to make puff pastry cinnamon twists with this easy recipe. It's so flaky, buttery and full of cinnamon flavour.

  • Preheat your oven to 190°C (375ºF) (gas mark 5, 170°Fan) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, mix butter, light brown sugar and cinnamon together with a spoon until combined.
  • Unroll the ready-made puff pastry and spread the cinnamon mixture evenly over all the pastry.
  • Take one end of the pastry (from the longest width) and fold the pastry in half. Gently press the pastry down with your hands.
  • Using a pizza cutter or knife, cut the pastry into strips. They should be roughly 1.5cm (0.6 inches) in thickness (this will create around 12 to 13 strips).
  • Pinch the two opposite ends of one strip and twist 3 to 4 times in the opposite direction. Repeat this step for all strips. Watch the video to see how I did this.
  • Place the twisted strips on the lined baking tray. If you would like a golden-brown finish, spread melted butter over the pastry twists.
  • Bake in the oven for 17 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
