Breadsticks Recipe (Grissini) That's Crispy & Easy

Ingredients
  

  • 250 g Plain Flour
  • 50 g Olive Oil Extra Virgin
  • 100 ml Water Add more if needed
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Instant Yeast
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper Optional
  • 1 tsp Sesame Seeds Optional

Instructions
 

  • Put your flour, yeast and salt in a mixing bowl and whisk together so that the ingredients are thoroughly mixed.

  • Add the olive oil and water to the mixing bowl and stir until the ingredients has combined.

  • Knead the dough by hand for about 1 minute.

  • Roll the dough out with a rolling pin on a lightly floured surface.

  • Brush olive oil over the breadstick dough and sprinkle with your seeds and spices. Here I have used sesame seeds and black pepper. Leave the dough to rise for an hour.

  • With a pizza cutter or knife cut 1/2 cm apart strips and put them on your baking tray lines with parchment paper. Preheat your oven to 180°C, 350°F, gas mark 4 and bake in the oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
