How To Make Chocolate Cornflake Easter Nests
Chocolate cornflake easter nests topped with tasty Cadbury mini eggs! The perfect no-bake dessert for Easter that kids love.
With Easter around the corner, it’s never too early to start easter baking! These cornflake nests are a mouth-watering trip down memory lane. They’re chocolatey, chewy and just utterly delicious; plus, there’s no baking involved.
Cornflakes are mixed with a tasty mixture of melted butter, chocolate and golden syrup. It’s then decorated and left to chill in the fridge. Who doesn’t love chocolate easter nests? It’s an Easter favourite the whole family can get stuck in!
How To Melt Chocolate
I like to add butter, golden syrup and chocolate into one mixing bowl and melt together in the microwave. I find it the quickest and easiest way to melt the chocolate mixture.
Melt on a medium to high heat in short 15 to 20 second intervals and mix each time until the mixture has melted. It shouldn’t take too long to melt, giving the mixture a good mix will help any unmelted bits melt away.
You can also melt the mixture over a saucepan of simmering water, stirring continuously until melted. Make sure the water doesn’t touch the bowl or that any water enters the bowl, as the mixture can get grainy.

My Top Tips
Adding butter and golden syrup makes these easter nests softer and easier to chew. But if you don’t have butter and golden syrup to use, you can make this recipe with just chocolate! Simply melt 200g of chocolate, mix in cornflakes and continue with the recipe.
Make sure to thoroughly mix the cornflakes into the melted chocolate mixture. If it’s not mixed thoroughly, then the nests won’t stick together and will fall apart.
If you want the easter nests even more chocolatey, add an extra 50g of chocolate to the recipe! They will be even more indulgent and sweet.
If you don’t have cupcake cases, you can use muffin cases. If you don’t have both, then shape them with your hands.
You can make this recipe with rice krispies or shredded wheat!
