Stuffing With Sausage Meat

Here's how to make an easy sausage meat stuffing with Paxo stuffing mix. This recipe is so easy to make and is perfect for Christmas dinner.

Ingredients
 
 

  • 450 g Sausage Meat
  • 170 g Sage And Onion Stuffing Mix
  • 425 ml Water (Or According To Packet Instructions)
  • 1 Egg
  • 30 g Butter
  • 1 Bramley Apple (Optional)
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper (Optional)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 200°C (180°C Fan, gas mark 4). Add the stuffing mix into a bowl followed by boiling water (or according to packet instructions) and mix together.
    425 ml Water, 170 g Sage And Onion Stuffing Mix
  • Add the remaining ingredients (apart from the butter) into the mixing bowl and mix together until evenly distributed.
    450 g Sausage Meat, 1 Egg, 1 Bramley Apple, 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • Add the sausage meat mixture into an ovenproof dish and press the mixture into the sides and smooth out the top. Then add chunks of butter to the top.
    30 g Butter
  • Place the tray into the oven and roast for 45 to 50 minutes or until the top of the sausage meat browns.

Notes

The wider the oven dish you are using (like mine) the quicker the mixture takes to cook as there is a larger surface area. Check around the 35 to 40 minute mark. If you're using a small oven dish, then you'll get chunkier portions and the stuffing will take slightly longer to cook (around 45 to 50 minutes).
