How To Make American Pancakes That’s Easy & Tastes Delicious

  • 170 g Plain Flour
  • 170 ml Milk
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 2 tbsp Caster Sugar
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 tbsp Melted Butter
  • Pancake toppings of your choice


  • In a large mixing bowl, sift the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt and give it a little mix together.
  • Get a separate mixing bowl, add your butter and microwave for 20 seconds or until just melted. Add the milk and egg to your melted butter and mix to combine.
  • Pour the wet mixture to the mixing bowl with dry ingredients and whisk until you have a smooth batter.
  • Heat a non-stick frying pan over a medium heat and add a generous amount of oil. Pour over 2-3 tablespoons of pancake batter. Heat for 2 minutes or until golden brown. (The top of the pancake will begin to bubble, that’s a good indicator to know when to flip your pancakes). Once flipped heat for about 1 minute. Repeat with the remaining pancake batter.
  • Serve your pancakes with an array of toppings of your choice, best served fresh and warm from the pan.
